DOMINANT OF CULTURAL PERSONALITY AS A NORM OF THE STATES-CULTURES COEXISTENCE IN THE MODERN ERA

Relevance. The well-being of modern society presupposes the formation of a vector of tolerance in the cultural and historical space. Globalization processes in the modern cultural space carry the idea of unification, affirmation of the principles of cultural individualism «unifying» American cultural and state education. Such a challenge generates opposition, which is often manifested in conflict forms, which reinforces the search for mechanisms of complementary coexistence among States-cultures.  The article is aimed to show irrelevance of the modern era of the idea of cultural individualism and the affirmation of the principles of coexistence of cultural states on the basis of the dominant cultural individuality. Methodology: historical-cultural and historical-philosophical approaches, methodology of interpretation and reconstruction of cultural phenomena as actualizations of mental core of this culture. According to the results of the study it was established that culture becomes not just an inherent aspect of all public education, but a determinant of the state and economic policy in the modern era, which means the emergence of the phenomenon of «state-culture».  In this case, the dominant dignity inherent in each culture exists in the form of cultural individuality and cultural individualism inherent, in particular, in American cultural and public education. If the principle of cultural individuality presupposes the affirmation of the principles of uniqueness and self-worth of own cultural «I», then cultural individualism presupposes the formation of the concept of own exclusivity and hegemony. Conclusion: Complementary interaction and coexistence between States-cultures possible only if the dominant cultural identity of each State-culture entity is affirmed.
