RECONSTRUCTION OF THE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL FOUNDATIONS OF WRITING AS A CIVILIZATION EVENT

The article examines the philosophical and cultural foundations of the process of reconstruction of writing, considered in the status of an event of civilization. The «developed» writing system is interpreted by the author as a phonetic writing and an alphabetic writing. Writing development is presented as a three-stage process: «non-writing», «proto-writing», «writing». The specifics of pictographic, ideographic, logographic and alphabetic writing are revealed. The idea of a semiotic definition of writing comes from the symbolic, graphic and linguistic characteristics of writing. The historical and cultural process of the evolution of Eastern writing systems is considered, the cultural influence in the processes of the evolution of writing is identified and studied, the role of cultural diffusion and assimilation of cultural traditions in the processes of the evolution of writing is revealed. The historical and cultural evolution of writing systems includes a number of stages: from pictographic to ideographic writing; verbal (logographic) writing, verbal-syllabic, syllabic (syllabic). The alphabetic writing system is presented as the final one for the indicated scheme.
