Voluntary activity in the system of approbation of the «economic man» model
Relevance. For economic theory, it is essential to explain the mechanism of people economic behavior. Taking into account the paradigms, the main types of economic behavior and the corresponding models of the economic man are distinguished. In this regard, the analysis of ideas about modern models of man is relevant. Aim. Testing in specific historical conditions the "new economic man" model, formed on the basis of the evolution of theoretical ideas about the model of man in different scientific schools, through the identification of the real relationship between the I‐ and We‐identities in the volunteer movement. Methods. Comparative method, logical and system analysis, statistical method based on open data from surveys. Results. Participation in the volunteer movement can be considered as a special (specific) form of labor relations. The paper introduces the results of the analysis of the proposed author's model of the "new economic man" through the grouping of motivation for volunteer activities by the main types of self‐realization. The author has used the results of the 2023 surveys conducted by All‐Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion. The study was based on the following forms of participation in volunteering: active (activity‐based, involving time expenditure) and passive (in monetary form).
