Smart city dominants: outdoor coworking spaces
Relevance. Coworking as a new socio-cultural phenomenon integrated into the concept of a smart city is a response to the challenges faced by modern megacities. In the context of the smart city concept, coworking is becoming an important tool for improving the comfort of urban life. It creates conditions for the interaction of various groups of the population – students, entrepreneurs, freelancers and local residents. This interaction faci-litates the exchange of ideas and knowledge, which in its turn leads to the generation of innovative solutions to urban problems. Aim. To analyze coworking as a new socio-cultural phenomenon inherent in the concept of smart cities and a new approach to understanding the urban environment. Methods. Questioning, systematization and generalization of data, comparative analysis, interdisciplinary approach (philosophical, sociological, cultural). Results. Taking business activity outside buildings through the creation of a street coworking space in the city center can contribute to the formation of new socio-professional ties between students and local residents. The introduction of street coworking into the historical environment will give it dynamism. As a solution, a modular pavilion was developed that can be integrated into the territory of any university, which is an open space with a roof and arched facades in harmony with the architecture of Tomsk universities.
