ASSESSMENT OF ECONOMIC INDICATORS OF HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE REGIONS OF RUSSIA

Currently, measures to improve the efficiency of the healthcare system are key in shaping policy in all regions of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the main focus is on increasing the return on available resources.
The purpose of the study was to assess the level of financing of regional systems of providing medical care to the population and remuneration of health workers. Our research is aimed at obtaining new knowledge on the problem under consideration. The paper considers such indicators as the cost of providing medical care for each resident of the region; investments in the fixed capital of healthcare organizations for each resident of the region; labor costs per employee of the medical care system; ratio of average wages in the field of medicine in the region and regional average wages. The author's methodology is based on official statistical data and associated with the development of mathematical models.
The results of the work showed that the average cost of medical care in the country is 19,8 thousand rubles per inhabitant, the corresponding investments reached 3,2 thousand rubles per year. The average level of remuneration in healthcare did not differ from regional values. The results of the work can be used to prepare proposals for improving medical care for the population in the regions. At the same time, special attention should be paid to overcoming the current imbalances in the economic indicators of regional health systems – in particular, to increase the salaries of medical workers in order to overcome the shortage of personnel of healthcare organizations in many regions.
