The Chinese language in the era of globalization
The article examines the transformation of the Chinese language in the context of globalization and its role in modern technological, economic, and cultural processes. It emphasizes that the Chinese language demonstrates unique adaptability by integrating foreign borrowings while preserving cultural identity. Particular attention is paid to China's state language policy aimed at standardizing Putonghua to strengthen national unity and regulating Anglicisms through the creation of localized equivalents. Globalization enhances the influence of the Chinese language through technological companies, digital platforms, and cultural exports. Despite the dominance of English, Chinese is actively developing its own terminology in the scientific and technical sphere, highlighting its ability to meet the challenges of innovation. The article addresses the contradictions of globalization: on the one hand, it stimulates linguistic integration and technological progress; on the other hand, it requires a balance between openness and the protection of "linguistic sovereignty." Aim. To analyze the characteristics of the Chinese language development in the era of globalization and identify general trends and specific features of the adaptation of borrowings in Chinese, particularly in terminology. Methods. Continuous sampling method, descriptive method involving the study of scientific and methodological literature on the research problem, generalization of material, method of structural analysis of term words. Results. The authors have identified the key aspects of the transformation of the Chinese language under modern globalization. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the Chinese language not only adapts to global changes but also shapes new communication models by itself, strengthening China's position on the global agenda.
