QUALITY OF LIFE AS A CRITERION OF SOCIAL MANAGEMENT
The article considers the quality of life as a complex phenomenon of sociological theory and practice. The sociological approach takes into account objective and subjective indicators of quality of life. To increase the level of quality of life its purposeful management is important. This management is a multi-level system. Quality of life management at the level of a particular organization determines the quality of working life, at the level of the territory – the quality of life of the population of this territory, at the level of the country – the quality of life of citizens of this country. The strategies for socio-economic development of the social system are developed at each level of social management. Method. The basis of the study is the fundamental ideas of sociology, comparative analysis, interdisciplinary approach. Results. Subjective indicators of quality of life – psychological perception of a person, a group of basic characteristics of quality of life. The objective side is the evaluation of the same characteristics in the context of statistical data. In this regard, both statistical and sociological information is necessary for adequate quality of life management. The article presents objective and subjective indicators of the quality of life of countries with high and low ratings on the human development index, as well as public spending on education, health, final consumption. The authors substantiate the importance of social management of the quality of life.
